“P.M. College of Excellence” Government Vivekanand College, is situated in
Maihar district of Madhya Pradesh (which was once a part of Satna district).
This College, which was established in the year 1972 and was subsequently
transformed into a Government Degree College in 1986 under the aegis of
Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Department is affiliated to Awadhesh Pratap
University, Rewa on 19/11/1991.This college, which started its journey with
a modest number of students,presently boasts of two buildings (one for the
faculty of Science, and the other for the faculties of Arts and Commerce)
and a total capacity of 5000+ students.
