National Cadet Corps (NCC)

➢ A Legacy of transformation, National Cadet Corps is the youth wing of the Indian armed force whose headquarter is located in New Delhi. The Women's Unit of NCC has been operating in government Vivekananda PG College Maihar since September 2006. The NCC unit of the college has 53 cadets. NCC is of 3 years duration in which cadets appear for "B" certificate exam in the second year and "C" certificate exam in the third year. NCC cadets of the college Kumari Akanksha Tiwari has given her excellent performance in Rajpath parade (26 January) January and four cadets have given their best performance in Thal Sainik Camp, Delhi.

NCC cadets of the college have ensured their participation in all India trekking camps held in different places like Ajmer, Gwalior, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh and Darjeeling. Apart from this, two NCC cadets from our college have participated in the in the special National Integration camp Ladakh. Apart from Madhya Pradesh, National Integration camp has been organised in Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal. Presently, Lieutenant Dr. Manju Lata Shrungi (HOD, Chemistry) is in charge of this Women’s unit. We have a seat capacity of 53 students in NCC.
